After his amazing performances during the last CSI4* in St Tropez with François-Xavier Boudant, the Groupe France Elevage has concluded an agreement with Erica Hatfield and Paul O'Shea who will ridden CICAVE DU TALUS for the american Team Eye Candy. His semen will continue to be distributed by the GFE.
This is a beautiful story: in 2012 the GFE organized a foal competition in Deauville and Paul Mais, famous Belgian breeder "Van De Helle" had bought Cicave du Talus to his breeder Jacques Le Boedec. 3 years later, Cicave was selected to the Fences Auctions and bought by GFE!
Trained by Fabrice Paris from 4 to 6yo, CICAVE joined François-Xavier Boudant's stables at 7yo. They competed in the 7-year-old world championships and did several rankings CSI 2 * at 8yo before showing himself in 3 and 4* shows since the beginning of this year.
"He is both a future champion and a very promising stallion, his first offspring are turning 4 years old. The agreement with Erica Hatfield and Paul O’Shea allows us to keep him in our stallion catalogue and let him evolve at the highest sporting level. ”says Arnaud Evain, founder of GFE.
François Xavier Boudant, if he has a heavy heart to see him leave, retains the feeling of having accomplished his duty: “I would have liked to keep him a little further just like Amant du Chateau previously, but it is how we do business… It is a great satisfaction to know that he will have a chance to shine at a high level. I will follow him closely and devote myself to train his successors among the young GFE stallions such as the already well known Falko de Hus."
