EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS
United Touch (grandson of UNTOUCHABLE)

The European Show Jumping Championships in La Coruña drew to a close after an extraordinary weekend that combined world class sport with superb horsemanship. This edition showcased riders and horses of remarkable quality, with a podium reflecting a rich diversity of bloodlines heavily influenced by the GFE catalogue. Let’s have a closer look at this action packed championship.

  • United Touch – A Phenomenal Champion:
The European title goes to the outstanding United Touch, ridden by Richard Vogel, confirming his top-tier status and cementing the UNTOUCHABLE lineage as a force in elite show jumping.

  • Hello Folie – Showcasing the Excellence of the Selle Français:
Taking silver, the incredible Hello Folie (aka Folie de Nantuel), a full sister to CANDY DE NANTUEL, delivered an exceptional series of clear rounds under the saddle of Scott Brash. She proves to the world the extraordinary quality of the “de Nantuel” family and the Selle Français breed: true genious over the rails, carefulness, and generosity.

  • Ermitage Kalone - The French-Bred Metronome:
Bronze goes to Ermitage Kalone, ridden by Gilles Thomas — one of the world’s most consistent performers, and born of a “100% GFE” genetic cross: CATOKI x KANNAN.

Following closely behind are several exceptional horses, including:
  • In The Air (AIR JORDAN x Indoctro) who finished 11th with Jessica Mendoza – a fine example of the enduring longevity and quality of the legendary AIR JORDAN’s offspring.
  • CORNET OBOLENSKY boasted one of the strongest sire presences at this Championship, with three offspring including the exceptional Millfield Colette (CORNET x Clearway), partnered with Daniel Whitaker for Great Britain.
  • COMME IL FAUT also had three offspring competing, including Cuma 5 (COMME IL FAUT x Vivendi), I. Comme Tessa (COMME IL FAUT x Casall), Cazan Z (COMME IL FAUT x Vagabond de la Pomme).
This edition was a triumph for French breeding and heralded a bright future for Team France, led by a rising generation of riders—most notably Antoine Ermann. After impressing aboard Beryl des Prés, daughter of POPSTAR LOZONAIS, Ermann delivered another masterful performance with Floyd des Prés, a son of the late Vigo Cécé.
At this landmark 2025 sporting event, the offspring of GFE catalogue stallions once again underlined their outstanding genetic quality and competitive edge. The three individual medalists serve as powerful, compelling proof of the excellence of GFE stallion bloodlines— and their ubiquitous presence among the international show jumping elite.

CONGRATULATIONS and THANK YOU to their breeders, owners, riders, grooms, trainers, and all those who, whether closely or from afar, helped shape these gems that shone far beyond Europe!
